MultiMat-Seklema-White, 12"x12" (30.5cm) Double Sided, Engraving Table Hold Down Mat

Multimat Rotary Engraving Hold DownsConsider the drastic reduction of the consumption cost of 2-sided tape, at $7.50 a roll, how much are you using now, how much would you save?

But the real savings is in productivity. Here is where your savings really add up! If you run your engraving system at an hourly rate of $60 and can trim just 5 minutes per hour by placing your plates in a couple of seconds and by not having to apply engravers tape every few plates, you are saving $3.00 every hour.

  • Counting every hour, and every day and every week (assuming a 40 hour work week) your labor savings can reach or exceed $6,240.00 a year!

  • MultiMat is easy to use simply place it on your engraving table, then place you material and engrave.

  • MultiMat lasts long, simply keep it clean and the tack will last and last. A little water and a lint free cloth every few jobs and you will have MultiMat for months and months and months.

  • MultiMat holds most any flat surface material or object, place it and engrave it!

  • Use MutliMat on your Laser, materials that are bowed or uneven can be held flat for the laser process assuring your focus point is uniform across your workarea.

  • We cut MultiMat to size, we recognize the diversity of engraving projects and offer MultiMat with a flat Square Inch price and will cut to size.

How long will Multi-Mat/Seklema Last?

The life span of Multi-Mat/Seklema depends on many factors , including type of use,( IE: engraving, profiling through material, or laser hold down), proper cleaning and handling . The average user can expect many months or even years of use. One great Multi-Mat/Seklema advantage is that it is double sided, thereby providing double the life span when compared to other single sided products.

What is the cleaning procedure for Multi-Mat/Seklema?

Cleaning Multi-Mat/Seklema is simple and easy. Merely use a soft sponge and running water to remove chips, dust or dirt, and then allow to dry. No chemicals cleaners are required.

How is Multi-Mat/Seklema affixed to the engraving table, and can it be removed?

Because Multi-Mat/Seklema is double sided, it holds itself to the engraving table top. No double stick tapes, vacuums, or clamps are necessary, and Multi-Mat/Seklema can be easily removed and stored, then reinstalled by placing it in position and gently pressing down. No other hold down system is so fast and easy to use.

Is there any clean up required after using Multi-Mat/Seklema?

For most situations the answer is no, however Multi-Mat/Seklema does leave a slight oily residue on some engraving plates. If you wish to use double stick tape as a plate mounting system, this residue can be easily removed with cloth and rubbing alcohol, or the double stick tape can be applied to the plate before engraving, and then used with Multi-Mat/Seklema.

What happens if I cut through the engraving material into Multi-Mat/Seklema, is it ruined ?

Multi-Mat/Seklema has a self healing feature. Small cuts in the surface of Multi-Mat/Seklema should not cause problem, and seem to heal themselves. Of course continued cuts over a long period of time will degrade the effectiveness of Multi-Mat/Seklema. Many small enclosed cuts ( closed path such as a series of circles, or squares ) could cause sections of the mat to come out which of course would degrade its performance.

Multi-Mat/Seklemaseems expensive, how can I justify paying that much?

Although Multi-Mat/Seklema will wear out eventually, it is not really a consumable item like double stick hold down tape or labor. Multi-Mat/Seklema makes life a lot easier for the engraver, and will pay itself very quickly in time saved and ease of use. When the cost of double stick hold down tape, along with the associated time and labor needed for application and removal is figured in, Multi-Mat/Seklema becomes even more cost effective.
