Purex fume extractors are designed with both the safety of the operator and the laser in mind. Providing high pressure extraction with air monitoring for ease of filter maintenance

Marking / Coding

Laser marking and coding applications can present particulate and vapour concerns.  Multiple extraction solutions are available, and our experts can help you select the proper machine based upon your substrate and volume of work.

big engraving jobs no problemEngraving

Proper extraction during the engraving and cutting process is very important for operator safety as well as to maintain your laser and quality of work.   Improper extraction such as attempting to exhaust to atmosphere can lead to beam diversion and the need to replace optics. Not to mention those fumes are not removed only diluted out of the building.  Fumes such as those caused by lasing acrylic are very odorous and cause discomfort to those around.  Our high-pressure vacuum and multi-stage filtration are designed to deal with such issues.

PVC Application

Using a laser on PVC creates aggressive fumes including Hydrochloric Acid.  These fumes wreak havoc on typical fume extraction equipment.  With this in mind, we have created PVC specific machines and filters to properly deal with this.  Our design allows for easy maintenance relative to the application which provides an ongoing solution for this very difficult process.  Machines not properly designed corrode through the bottom of the machine which will impact other critical components.

CerMark LMM6000 100g.

  • Black, 100 grams.
  • Use: Stainless Steel & Pewter
  • Certificate of Compliance: TherMark Holdings Inc. warrants Thermark branded laser marking materials to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

LMM6000, a CerMark™ product, is one of TherMark’s two general purpose laser marking inks and is recommended for creating black marks on a variety of metals. It has been specially designed to dry in a hard coat which can be handled prior to laser marking without rubbing off. This allows parts coated with the product to be stored, moved or stacked prior to laser marking.

If you are interested specifically in marking stainless steel, you should choose LMM6000, as it makes the darkest marks on this substrate. However, the process window  is somewhat narrow, so if ease of use is a concern, LMM14 may be a better option and its marks on stainless are not significantly different from LMM6000.

Recommended substrates:
LMM6000 is a somewhat flexible product which is recommended for many metals. The following list is made up of substrates on which the product works well. This list is not exhaustive, however, so if your substrate does not appear on the list, this does not mean it will not mark it.

Stainless Steel Chrome Plating
Stainless Steel - Bright Annealed Nickel Plating
Galvanized Steel Gold Plating
Brass Silver Plating
Aluminum Titanium
Copper
